1st Annual Christmas party

Saturday, ACFW Arkansas had its 1st annual Christmas party.

Not only did we have yummy food and fellowship, but each person wrote either a poem or short story about the individual whose name they had drawn--oh, if you could have heard them read.

These created lines were either laugh-out-loud funny or poignant words that stirred the soul. Also an ornament was given--this also reflected the receiver.

When the event was concluded, each went away knowing a tiny bit more about their fellow writers.

If you've not tried this for your group, go ahead--think of the fun you'll have.

Happy Holidays to Everyone!

I am delighted to announce that I've utilized my friend's talents to build me a blog and a website. She has been so busy taking care of mom & pop stores and other authors in the industry, branding their businesses. But, she has ROOM FOR YOU!

Her name is Megan. Let me introduce you to ePlatformsByMegan.com

I mean, everything she offers, even if you choose all of her services, is still all together under $600!

Go to her website HERE and have her help your career or small business!

A Timeless Era

Like yarns of old, I love to watch the old Holiday movies and let them warm my heart. Especially with films that originated from books, such as Little Women.

My mind travels back in time often imagining a wooden cabin with smoke swirling from the neck of the chimney.

The wind howling a fearsome scream, yet the lark sits balancing itself on a nearby branch within my eyesight.

Can it be? He won't be thrown off by a gust of wind?

Oh, how I long to be like that bird throughout life's challenging gusts sometimes. To hang on when it gets rougher and rougher.

Deep in the recesses of the house in my petticoat; just me and my kittens playing with the string that I use to tie up the turkey's legs for dinner.
What a world. In my imagination. In my dreams of times past that I wasn't present for. Oh joy, oh timeless era.

Hi Readers!

I hope you've had a wonderful day :)
We had our Arkansas ACFW writer's meeting today. It was a very good one, and we got a lot of ideas churning! I really love these and the WIN meetings in Tulsa. In fact, one of my girlfriends lives there and attends that group, she is funny. Her name is Lex Gilmore and her Website is beautiful!

As much as I loved the conference, I'm still exhausted from it all. I thought I was on the verge of having shingles, but so far, not--yea!! It was in St. Louis at we all had a blast.

Here's some more information for you about me :) and don't forget to Visit my Website too!
Hobbies
Reading; Bicycle riding; taking leisurely walks; collecting handmade quilts--new & old ( I love them on beds, folded, draped over a quilt frame, I love the way they feel in my hands--the more stitches, the better; and I collect books--not 1st editions, but books that interest me.
I love
Reading--especially to my grand kids; the autumn season--the crisp air, the falling leaves; baking cookies for my grand kids; holding, watching, and petting cats & kittens; studying the Bible; hanging out with with writerly people; writing--my head is full of stories; books--old & new, fiction & non-fiction; and I love romance.
